About NAIL
Purpose and Objectives of NAIL for PET(Protective Equipment Testing)
NAIL is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the needs of independent testing laboratories, as well as offering accreditation of independent testing facilities. We also welcome investor owned utilities, rural electrical cooperatives, government agencies, corporations and individuals as associate members.
In addition to the benefits of membership, NAIL sponsors an annual forum where members can come together to communicate, discuss mutual problems, and work toward effective solutions. NAIL helps develop uniformity in testing and works in close association with the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
NAIL helps its members stay informed regarding new government regulations while encouraging its member organizations to act collectively and individually to protect the integrity of our profession. Additionally, NAIL accreditation has become the industry seal of approval for quality assurance in testing laboratories.
NAIL accredited laboratories pledge to place service, candor, justice, and the public welfare in safety before profit and personal advantage. NAIL promotes both state and federal product liability legislation on tort revision that will be fair and equitable to all parties concerned and encourages its members to protect their independence and rights in the free enterprise system.
